Innovative dental practice wins award
An innovative Norwich dental practice has won a prestigious national award for ‘best practice’ in the profession in the Eastern region.
The All Saints Green Dental Clinic impressed the judges for the way it introduced innovative design and practices following the move to the former BBC East building in October last year.
The clinic won the Best Practice – East category in the 2007 Dentistry Awards organised through Debtistry Magazine.
The coveted awards – now in their second year – were presented by celebrity host Roy Walker at a black tie gala dinner in Leicester.
The judges said they were impressed by the changes brought in by the practice since it moved to specially adapted premises.
Principal Mandana Atashkadeh and her architect husband Iraj Naeini, who also manages the practice, worked closely together to produce a clinic to meet the needs of all patients.
“I am proud that we have achieved the highest standards of dentistry skill and patient care and I am grateful to my team for helping us to achieve this,” said Dr Atashkadeh.
“As Iraj is an architect, jointly we were able to make sure we had unique designs that provide for improved decontamination as well as specialist facilities for the disabled.
“For all patients, every effort has been made to ensure their comfort and relaxation, which is why we have also provided a combination of climate control, plasma TV screens in each waiting area continually showing relaxing footage – accompanied by soft music – all in a building with the ‘wow’ factor of a five-star hotel.”
Leadership, training and investment in staff were also taken into account by the judges.
